One More Avery Elle Challenge Card

Ok, so I know I just posted the card that I made last night, but I was able to squeeze another card in during the kids' nap time today, so I had to share this one as well...

Supplies Used:
Stamps and Dies: Avery Elle
Ink: PTI, Memento, and SweetStamps.com
Patterned Paper: Simple Stories
Twine: V's Sweet Ideas
Foam Adhesive

I have seen the spotlight stamping technique popping up again, and it was my inspiration for my card!  I also based this on a few challenges:

I Heart Avery Elle: Die Cutting Challenge
Simon Says Stamp: Anything Goes
CAS-ology: Rainbow

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Happy Crafting!

You're Awesome Tag Style

So I debated back and forth on whether or not I should share this card... it is extremely CAS, and I wasn't really sure at first if it was "good enough".  But then I thought what the heck, it's handcrafted with love, of course it is good enough!  And so what if it is super plain, it's still a happy little card, so I present to you this...

Supplies Used:
Stamps and Dies: Avery Elle
Ink: MFT
Hemp Cord: Hemptique

I have created this card based on two challenges:
I heart Avery Elle: Die Challenge
CAS-ology: Rainbow
Simon Says Stamp: Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for visiting me and my little CAS card!

Out Of This World... TAWS sneek peeks!!!

It is Sneek Peek time at The Alley Way Stamps, yay!!!!  The name of this stamp set that I am sharing today is perfect, because it is Out Of This World fun!  I love how well these strips of sentiments cover the entire front of a card...

I'm not going to lie creating this card was so fun and messy!  Love it!  I started this card by embossing my stars and sentiment onto the cardbase.  I then went crazy with my distress inks and some shiny misting.  Finally I embossed the moon onto scrap cardstock, fussy cut and adhered with foam adhesive.

I am also entering this into the Simon Says Stamp: Emboss It Challenge!

Make sure you check out what the other girls have created with this amazing new stamp set for your viewing pleasure (also to enable just a little hehehe!).

Wreathed in Love

Hello!  I hope you are having a lovely weekend so far!  We enjoyed a nice trip to our local zoo yesterday, and now we are ready to relax.  Today I am sharing this cute little mini card on The Alley Way Stamps Blog, and make sure you check out their blog today as we have another project share by the amazing Debby Hughes!  Here is what I am sharing...

I created this card using The Alley Way Stamps Wreathed in Love Stamp set, which happens to be the freebie stamp set for the month of July with your $40 purchase... sweet!   To create this card I embossed the card base with one of my new We R Memory Keepers Embossing folders (which you can find/purchase at Butterfly Ink Reflections! ).  I then die cut a circle, stamped the wreath, embellishments and sentiment onto it, and adhered with foam adhesive.  Finally I blinged my card out with some sequins!

I am also entering this into the following challenge:

PTI July Blog Hop

Hello!  Yay!!!  It's Papertrey Ink Blog Hop Day!  I always love these, because I love seeing how differently each person sees the inspiration that is provided for us.  And this time there is just one photo of inspiration to work with...

I drew my inspiration from the stitched flower and the flowers on the doily...

Supplies Used:
Stamps: PTI Stitches and Swirls, Botanic Silohouettes
Ink: PTI Spring Rain, Autumn Rose, Pure Poppy, and Dark Chocolate, also Avery Elle Mint
Doily
Hemp Cord: Darice
Patterned Paper: MME
Paint Brush

I recently bought a set of nice water paintbrushes, and there is a itty bitty one that I just had to bust out for this card.  I basically painted my flower using very little water and the ink pads as my color pallet.  I stamped the inks onto my craft mat and dabbed my paintbrush right in and got to work.  I pulled my colors from the bottom up and then went back over in areas I wanted to create more dimension.  Another trick I used on this card was stamping off... I inked up my sentiment with Dark Chocolate stamped it onto a scrap paper before quickly stamping it onto my card front.  This gave it a muted look that blended more with the background.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful day!

The Alley Way Stamps Old and New

Hello all!  Today I have a post up on The Alley Ways Stamp Blog sharing a fun colored card!  I was inspired by a picture of a peacock for my color combo, and played with a mix of old and new stamps.  I have used the Spotted Stamp Set to create my background and the newer sets Pick One for the flower and Mrs. Rogers Neighborhood for the sentiment.

I tried taking a close up to show the pretty shimmer on my flower, but drats it is still hard to see.  Just pretend to see it and say ooohhhh and ahhhh hehehehe!

I am also entering this into the Crafting From the Heart Challenge: Anything Goes

New Stamps, woo hoo!

Let me tell you when I saw the new release for Altenew I knew I had to jump on the ball get my order in the minute they opened the store... and that is exactly what I did.  Then my happy little package came with my two new stamp sets and I just had to play with one of them that very minute (thank goodness the kids were already taking their nap, hehehe!).  When I came across the sheet cake challenge at A Blog Named Hero I knew this flower would be the perfect fit for a Hero Arts Sentiment and viola...

This image was so fun to water paint with distress inks... it's so relaxing.  I'm still a beginner with water painting images, but I was happy with the result! :)

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!!!

Parchment Craft Challenge with SweetStamps.com

Hello!  There is a lot of excitement happening today at SweetStamps.com... First there is a new release of Artsy Fartsy Stamp Sets... and these are def. my FAV. release to date!!!  I LOVE the sentiments and images!  Check them out here.  Then we are also combing our weekly challenge with our Monthly Technique Challenge: Anything Goes with Parchment Crafting! woo hoo!  So get out the vellum and get crafty!!!  Here is what I have created for this challenge:

Supplies Used:

I love how this turned out!  I started by heat embossing my images and sentiment in fine detailed white embossing powder.  I then flipped it over and when over the flowers with a stylus against a mouse pad. While still having the backside faced up I colored around the floral images with colored pencils.  I flipped it back over, adhered it to patterned paper and added some rhinestones.

* I am also entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Challenge: Let's be clear

Hope you will give parchment and try!  As always there is a $20 gc waiting for the winner of this challenge!

Home Sweet Home on the TAWS Blog

Hello!  It's Monday and my day to share a card with you on The Alley Way Stamps Blog, yipee!!! I'm so happy to share this sweet little home card, in which I used a new technique...

Supplies Used:

Various Copics
Stencil: memory box
Glitter: Distress Glitters by Ranger
Ink: Memento and Staz-On
Die: PTI

To create this card I used a glitter and stencil technique, which I learned from the amazing Jennifer McGuire.  I applied this technique to a label which I had diecut first.  I then stamped my house from the Mrs. Roger's Neighborhood Stamp Set, colored and fussy cut.  Next came the sentiment from the same stamp set applied to vellum and adhered.

I am also entering this lovely card into the Simon Says Stamp: Let's Be Clear Challege

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
