The Alley Way Stamps Blog Hop!!!

Woot woot!  It is time to hop along with The Alley Way Stamps, as we share the new stamps being released this November!  This month's images range from super cute, whimsy, pretty, and everything in between!  There is also a great new sentiment set called Stamps From Us that will basically cover everything you can think of!  Anywho, I have the pleasure of sharing a card I've created with the new Wispy Wishes Stamp Set.  This one is gorgeous, and the layered stamping that you can do with it is awesome!  I kind of thought everyone would want to show off the gorgeous flowers in this set, so I opted to show off one of the leaf images... (I'm such a rebel, right? hehehe!)

I also used a sentiment from the new Rain or Shine Stamp Set.  To create this simple yet classic card I started by stamping the leaf randomly in three different colors.  I then stamped the sentiment in the middle of my panel.  I ran my panel through my Big Shot with my label diecut and when I adhered it all to the cardbase I added foam adhesive under my cut for a more dimensional look.  And of course I needed some bling so I felt that clear sequins would be the perfect touch.

Now of course a hop is not a hop with out a giveaway sooooo.....

Today's winner will get all THREE new sets!

Halloween Greetings...

Hello!  Today I'm just playing around for fun with one of the new stamp sets called Sweet Halloween from V's Sweet Ideas.    ( PST- Vanessa is doing a fabulous sale on this set so make sure you swing by to check it out! )

I kept this card a one layout because I really just wanted the focus to be on the image itself.  I started by stamping my image and sentiment, and coloring it all in with various Copics.  Next I added some black distress ink all around the edges, and finally added some gold stickles to represent stars.

TAWS November Sneak Peek!

Hello!!!! And yipeeee!!! I get to share the first sneak for next months release of the set Rain or Shine by The Alley Way Stamps.  This set is so cute and whimsy!  I love the little images and sentiments in it.  Here's what I made with this set to share with all of you...

Cute, right?  I was inspired by a card I had seen a while ago in one of the PaperCrafts Magazines, when it was still around *snif snif*.  Sadly I couldn't find the article that it was in so I can't give credit where it is due by using generational stamping on this plane, but just know that I am trying to!  Anywho, I started by stamping this image and repeated stamping the image until you could no longer see the ink.  I then stamped my sentiment and added a little heart next to it.  I then went back and colored my plane in before diecutting my panel and adhering it to map patterned paper!

I am entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Monday Throw Back Challenge: and I'm going back to the February No Rules Challenge, the first one of 2015! :)

Happy Halloween lil Pumpkin...

Hello!  Sadly today is my last time sharing a card I've made for and with the SweetStamps.com team. I absolutely loved being on their team and working with such talented ladies, but after two years I felt it was best for me to step down and see what new things may lay ahead for me.  Enough sadness though, onto this super cute card that I've created using the new Lil Pumpkin Costumes Stamp Set...

To create this card I started by stamping the big pumpkin first and masking him before stamping the two smaller pumpkins on the side.  I then removed the mask and used various Copics to color them all in.  Finally, I die cutted them with a  stitched circle and adhered it onto a strip of purple and a panel of candy pattern paper.

I am entering this into the Addicted to Stamps Spooky Challenge, and the Halloween All Styles challenge at AAA Cards.

To all of the talented ladies on the SweetStamps.com team thank you so much for having me, for inspiring me, and for your continued support!  You will all be missed!

Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

Trick or Treat...

Hello, hello!  Happy Saturday to you all!  I hope you are having a wonderful start to your weekend!  Today I am popping in here to share this cute Halloween card I've made with lots of super cute Lawn Fawn goodies as well as some Cutcardstock.com Curious Metallic Cardstock in Mandarin...

To create this card I started by diecutting two rectangle panels from from the Polka in the Dark Collection.  I then diecut some grass from the same collection.  I stamped the bear, hat, moon, pumpkin and bag on separate cardstock and colored them in with Copics before cutting them all out.  I then adhered them to the panels using a mix of foam adhesive and liquid glue for more dimension.  Finally I stamped my sentiment and stars and trimmed it at an angle to adhere to the side of the card.  The little star sequins set the whole thing off :)!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock: Curious Metallic in Mandarin at Cutcardstock.com
Patterned Paper: Lawn Fawn Polka in the Dark
Stamps: Lawn Fawn Spooktacular and Party Animal
Dies: Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles, Grass die (can't remember the maker sorry!)

Make a WISH!

Hello!  Today I am sharing here and on The Alley Way Stamps Blog  a cute little watercolor card using the Waddle Pals Stamp Set.

To create this card I started by embossing the sentiment in white on kraft paper.  I then stamped my little penguin guy and his party hat in white onto white watercolor cardstock.  I then used my distress markers to watercolor the happy guy in before fussy cutting him and adding him to the cardbase.  I finished it by stamping some fun confetti from an older stamp set called Cake Day.

Poinsettias in Gold...

Hello and Happiest Monday to you!  (Does that sound almost leprechaun? hehehe!)  Anywho, today I am up on The Alley Way Stamps blog sharing this pretty little Christmas card...

To create this card I started by layering some strips of patterned paper onto the cardbase.  Next I diecut the tag and stamped the greeting from the Mistletoe Kisses Stamp Set.  I then stamped and embossed the poinsettias in 24k gold embossing powder six times.  I then fussy cut three of embossed flowers and cut just the middle part of the flower out of the remaining three.  I then glued them together and added some dimension my slightly curling the edges.  Next I added color to the centers and adhered them all onto the tag.  The sequins added more sparkle and shine for a finishing touch!

I am linking this up to the following challenges:

Supplies Used:
Patterned Paper: Fancy Pants and Lawn Fawn

It's Monday and I am so excited to share this new tag that I've created as it may just have my favorite Halloween image ever...

Isn't she just so much fun?!  As soon as I saw her I could not wait to get crafty!  She is actually one of the Piccolo set called Trick or Treat Accents.  I started by die cutting my tag and embossing the accent with Fine Detail Black Sparkle Embossing Powder.  I then using some masking of a circle and distress inks to create my moonlit background and added some drops of Ranger Distress Spray stain.  I then added some Gold Stickles for added magic and sparkles.

Candy Cane Wishes... a bit early

I know, I know Christmas is still a time away, but here in crafting land it is right around the corner, so I've created a clean and simple Christmas card that would be easy to mass produce with the new Mistletoe Kisses set from The Alley Way Stamps...

To create this card I started by stamping my images in a light grey ink.  I then stamped the sentiment in black right over top of them.  Finally I colored with Copics, added some stickles and rounded the corners.

Fall Card for SweetStamps.com

Hello!  It is time for a new anything goes challenge at SweetStamps.com, woo hoo!  This time I am sharing a card with one of my favorite leaf images ever!  It comes from the Leaves clear Stamp Set and I think it is because of all the fine details and lines as to why I love it so much.  Check it out...

To create this card I started by stamping the leaves randomly onto watercolor cardstock and embossing them with the Autumn Splendor Embossing Powder.  Next I painted with peerless watercolors in the leaves.  After this dried I spritzed the whole sheet with gold and wiped it with a baby wipe to cover the background and add more shine.  I then diecut the panel and adhered it to the vellum with gold foil.  Finally I added a sticker and some sequins.

You Sweet Thing Layout

Hello!  I am sharing something a bit different for The Alley Way Stamps Blog today, and it is a layout.  I've been so busy with making cards that my layouts have kind of been put to the side, but not today!  I had a lot of fun mixing The Alley Way Stamps new and old on this gold, kraft and mint layout...

On this layout I used the new Sweet Thing Stamp Set to create my title.  I love the mix and match of the big and small fonts.  I then embossed Line Upon Line Stamp Set with 24k Gold embossing powder and matted it behind my photo.  I also stamped and colored the heart banner from the Cake Day Stamp Set.  All of the paper I've used is from DCWV: Happy Day Stack and the Gold Gilded Stack.

Warm Wishes With New Alley Way Stamps

Hello again!  I'm back sharing an icy little card that I've made using two new sets called: Mistletoe Kisses and this month's freebie with $40 purchase Chilly.  To create this card I started by stamping my little snowman first, masked him and stamped the ice next, so it would look just like he was sitting in the middle of it.  I then used my Copics and fussy cut lots and lots.  Now the background dots are from an older set called: Wreathed in Love.

I am also entering this little guy into the World Cardmaking Day Challenge at Simon Says Stamp.

Thanks for stopping by again!  Have an amazing day!

Oh, and Happy Crafting hehehe!

Isn't he so fun?!  And he was so fun to color in too!  I started by stamping him onto my white cardstock and colored him in with Copics.  I then masked him and added the negative diecut of an oval and went over it with Distress inks.  I stamped the sentiments last before layering it with various panels of patterned papers.

Make it Work. - Tim Gunn

Hello!  So I am making it work with my last post for tonight... I have been itching to play with this Limited Edition Fashion Sense Stamp Set by PTI, and tonight was the night! woo hoo!  I had fun layering watercolors over my gold embossed image, and just played... it felt soooo good!  I was totally inspired by the Go For the Gold Classes that the amazing Ms. Sandy Allnock has been providing...

To create this card I started by stamping and embossing my images and sentiment with 24k Gold Embossing Powder from SweetStamps.com (this is my favorite embossing powder ever!  The shine in person is incredible!).  I then started layering watercolors from my Peerless Watercolor Set, after I would put down one layer of color I would dry it and put down another layer, and did this about four times until I was satisfied with the look.  If you look closely in the first photo you will see the gold shimmer in the watercoloring, that is because I added a touch of gold Perfect Pearls to my water inspired by Sandy's Day 4 Liquid Gold Class.  The sentiment on here really reminds me of my mom as she loves watching project runway... anywho, I then added a strip of gold glitter cardstock, and adhered it all to vellum before adding it to the cardbase.

I am also linking this beauty up to the Simon Says Stamp Linky Party and the Blitsy Wild Card Challenge, and the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Ombre as the dress goes from dark emerald green and fades out.

Thank you so much for stopping by it always makes my day!

WCMD Challenges Galore!

Hello!  I'm linking up my second card today for lots of challenges yay!!!  Blitsy has lots of great challenges going on to celebrate World Card Making Day, so I am playing along with several of them including: watercoloring, shaker card, and wild card.  I am also joining in The Ton Stamps Challenge: Anything using The Ton Stamps!  Check it out...

To create this card I started by cutting out my star backing for the shaker out of watercolor paper, the star frame from a gorgeous DCWV Shimmer stack, and a final star from acetate.  I then used distress ink in Peacock to watercolor my backing star for the shaker element and set it to dry.  I then adhered the frame cut and acetate together, added some sequins from The Ton, and ta - da the star shaker was ready to go.  Next I stamped my sentiment from The Ton's Round Diamonds Stamp set as well as little stars from their Panda Can't Even stamp set onto a light grey cardstock.

Sending Hugs to The Ton Stamps

Hello!  Happy World Card Making Day!!!! Yay!!!  I finally get to play along this year, woot woot!  The first card I am sharing is based on The Ton's WCMD Challenge of Anything using The Ton Stamps.  I LOVE The Ton... Effie is truly a kind, sincere, and talented lady, and I've been a super fan of her and her products since their first release.  Ok, enough gushing and stamp crushing hehehe!  Here is the card I've created...

To create this card I started by creating the background by over laying edge diecuts in various cardstock colors.  Then I stamped my happy little panda from the Panda Can't Even stamp set and fussy cut him out.  I then popped him up with some foam adhesive.  I stamped my sentiment along the bottom from the same stamp set.  I then added some picked out gilding pieces from the Strawberries and Cream Couture Mix and Royal Garden Party Couture Mix as well as some heart confetti I had myself.

I am also entering this into the Simon Says Stamp World Card Making Day Link Up and the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Challenge

The Hop to Stop

Hi!  I am so happy to be able to take part in The Hop to Stop as it is all about raising awareness and reminding us of the pains and horrors others may be facing. October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month and this hop is designed to raise awareness about domestic violence, an issue that impacts 1 in 4 women, and the resources that are available to assist victims of domestic violence.  The color for raising awareness for this cause is purple, and I decided to focus my card on love...

I created this card by first laying some water onto my watercolor cardstock.  I then dropped in three different purples from my Peerless Watercolors, dried them and continued layering them.  Once it was fully dry I stamped my sentiment with Versafine Ink.  The hearts were created by heat embossing onto foil before diecutting the various hearts out.  I then popped some up with foam adhesive.  I then distressed the edges with a distressing tool.

I am also linking this card up with the Simon Says Stamp: Anything Goes Challenge

To find out more about Domestic Violence and it's affects please visit the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence.  You will also find some statistics and facts about Domestic Violence by visiting this site too.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and make sure you hop along with us.  Full details on the hop can be found on The Damsel of Distressed Cards Blog.
