CAS-ual Fridays Release Week Day #5

This is it folks!  The final day of release week and I hope you have had fun seeing all of the inspiration that the CAS-ual Fridays Team has created.  I know it has been a blast to share my projects with all of you.  Pssst - make sure you check out the CAS-ual Fridays Blog for information on a giveaway and how you can get yourself entered to win!  Today we are sharing the Tin Roof stamp set which is perfect for background and the Smile die...

This card was sort of a happy accident as far as the background is concerned.  I had wanted to use fun bright colors but with varying shades, so I grabbed one of my neon ombre ink pads, I then inked the whole thing once for one side and again for the other side making sure that the same colors touched each other in the middle. I loved the look of it, but boooooo I had made a little mistake and pushed a little too hard on the corner of the panel... so I decided to try restamping this background on another panel but with my blue ombre ink pad... this time the inking turned out perfectly fine but the colors didn't pack the punch I was going for.  So with a little creative cutting I was able to combine the two backgrounds into one and ta-da!!!  I then diecut the word smile three times, twice on white card stock and a third time a piece that I had run my ombre ink pad over.  I layered them all together and added Wink of Stella to the top layer for that extra POW!  I finished it all off with a strip of black card stock and some paneling.

That's all from me, don't forget to stop over on the CAS-ual Fridays Blog for more inspiration and a chance to win a $15 certificate to the store!

CAS-ual Fridays Release Week Day #4

Hello most amazing people!  Can I just reiterate how happy I am to be on the CAS-ual Fridays team? It's just so awesome!  Today we are sharing the Bravo stamp and die!  Again, this set has a fun mix of sentiment styles that you can really just play around with.  Take a peek at what I've created...

I went a little sticker happy with this one, hehehe!  I just thought it would be cool to have all of these various arrows pointing to the fun sentiment.  To create this card I started by trimming my sentiment in half and curving it around the word Applause.  I added a mix of yellow to the sentiment with watercolors.  I finished it with some distress ink around the edges in a bright blue and some fun complimentary enamel dots.

This set is great for lifting someones spirits or just telling them they've done an awesome job.  Check out more fun and inspiration on the CAS-ual Fridays Blog!

Having fun with Mint Owl Studio

*Please scroll down if you are looking for my CAS-ual Friday Release Post :)

Hello!  Today I am here and on the Mint Owl Studio blog sharing this fun layout I've created with the Class Act stamp set.  As I've said before this set is so much fun to color and play with, and it is so versitile!

I love creating my own embellishments for layouts, as you can personalize them for your specific page.  I stamped all of my images on separate card stock, colored them with my Copic markers and then added them to my layout with foam adhesive.

I am entering this into the Simon Says Stamp: Anything Goes Challenge

CAS-ual Fridays Release Week Day #3

Hello again!  Are you having a blast with this week's inspiration and awesome release happen over at CAS-ual Fridays?!  I sure am!  Today we are sharing the new Thanks Stamp and Die Set...

The script for this set is so much fun and mix matchy I just love it!!!  To create this card I started by grabbing a circle I had in my scrap pile, I then diecut my tag from the Tag Buddies Fri-dies in a bright pink.  Next I diecut the thanks out of both Gold and Silver Glitter card stock, layered them slightly off to one side and adhered them to my tag.  I then stamped the sentiment and went over the little circles with a Gold gel pen.  I finished it all off my running a strip of patterned paper, the circle, popping the tag up with foam adhesive and a few colorful sequins for added shine!

I'm so happy you stopped by my blog today and you can find more inspiration with this set you can head over to the CAS-ual Fridays Blog!

CAS-ual Fridays Release Week Day #1

Hello and hooray!!!!  Today I finally get to share the awesomeness that is the new release for CAS-ual Fridays Stamps and dies!!!! yay!!!!!  They are so awesome, uplifting, and fun that you will have to get your hands on them as soon as they are available! (pssst - they are available as of April 25th! woot woot!)  Today we are sharing the awesome Posies Stamp Set and Fri-dies...

To create this card I started by stamping my flowers from the Pretty Posies Stamp Set onto blue card stock.  I then added more dimension to the pedals with various Copics.  Next I the matching die cut and set them to the side.  On my white panel I had stamped a mix of leafy images from the older set Casual Comfort in a mix of greens and yellows.  I then stamped the sentiment from the Pretty Posies set in a coordinating dark blue.  I felt like this card needed a little pizazz to go with the sentiment so I busted out some Amy Tan glitter wash tape for the side and some Clear sequins to go around the floral arrangement.  The final step was to adhere the panel to the card base at an angle.

Thanks so much for popping by my blog and you can find more inspiration/sneaks of this set on the CAS-ual Fridays Blog!  Pssst - and I have a discount code just for you too! Check below...

Styling With Purple

*Notice I have now added a For Sale Page up above, happy shopping!*
Hello!  Happy weekend, yay!!!!  I'm so happy to share this quick post with you today that I created based on the Virginia's View Challenge: Friendship ( sooooo happy to see this challenge back even for just a little! ), Simon Says Stamp: Make it Girlie Challenge and the Sparkle and Shine Challenge....

This stamp set is from Papertrey Ink, and it is one of my favorites!  I used my Zig Clean Color Brush Marker in Violet and moved the color with my water brush.  I then used the marker again to color directly on the little circle splatters and stamped it several times as a background.  I finished it with a few sequins from The Ton and backed it with some Textured Shimmer card stock by DCWV.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and Happy Crafting!

Think Spring Green for STAMPlorations CAS Challenge

Hello!  It's the mid month reminder time for the latest STAMPlorations CAS Challenge and this time we are giving you the optional twist of the color: Spring Green.  Here's what I've created this time to get your crafty mojo going...

(ooohhhh and ahhhh!  Look at that pretty sparkle!)

To create this tag I've used the New Beginning Stamp Set. I just LOVE the soft and bright images along with encouraging sentiments in this set.  I used my Copics to color my image in and then added some shine with my Wink of Stella Marker.  I then popped it all onto a diecut green tag and added my sentiment with a Olympic Green Versafine Ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I can't wait to see what you create!

No Line Watercoloring with Mint Owl Studio

Have you seen the newest release at Mint Owl Studio?!  LOVE IT!!!  Today I am playing with the beautiful Love for Mom Stamp Set and using the no line watercoloring technique.

To create this card I started by coloring the outlines of the stamp with various Distress Markers.  I then spritzed the stamp with water and pressed firmly onto watercolor paper.  Next I went in with clean water and a brush and pulled the colors in from the edges.  To add more color I waited for the first layer to dry and then went back in with a water brush and the distress markers colored on a clear block and added it in.  I then used a stipple brush to pounce around the outside of the image.  I finished it all off with some wink of stella.  This was then layered on my card with a mix of patterned papers.

Essentials by Ellen Mix It Up Challenge

Hello!  It is finally Spring here in Ohio, yay!!!  It is going to be 68 today, woot woot!  Today I'm sharing a soft card that I've created for the Essentials by Ellen Mix It Up Challenge.  This time they are mixing it up with Taylored Expressions, and I decided to create a Sympathy Card.  I never like making Sympathy cards as I'm sure we all can agree, but they are good to have on hand.  I mixed the Wild Garden Designer Dies and Tailored Expressions Care and Comfort Set...

I diecut all of the florals from vellum for a soft elegant touch, and since I was using a colored background I decided to continue with the softer side of things and embossed the sentiment with clear embossing powder.  The sequins have two jobs: 1. They add interest and keep the card moving, 2. They are a great distraction and way to hide where you adhere the vellum to the paper.

Sneak Peek With Mint Owl Studio

Woot woot!  It's sneak peek time, oh yeah!  Mint Owl Studio has some wonderful new sets releasing this weekend and full details can be found on the Mint Owl Studio Blog so make sure you pop over there next! :)

This new set is called I Scream - You Scream, and it has so many fun images and sentiments!  I created my card by stamping the little ice pop onto separate cardstock and coloring it in.  I then added the little face, cause it just had to have a face right?  I also had to add some sparkle to the top part with wink of stella, and then topped it all off with some glossy accents.  After layering several patterned papers together, I stamped my sentiment in a coordinating purple and finished it with a few sequins from the Royalty Sequin Mix.

I can not wait to see what you will create with this set when you order yours!

STAMPlorations: CAS Challenge

Hello!  It is a new beautiful month so that means a new Clean and Simple Challenge on the STAMPlorations blog and this time we have thrown in a twist with the color green...

Supplies Used:
STAMPlorations: Blooming Buds, Happy Sunflower, Leaf Prints Artplorations Stencil
Distress Inks: Peeled Paint and Crushed Olive
Copic Markers
Versafine: Onyx Black and Memento: Tuxedo Black

I started by masking off an area of my stencil and went over it with my Distress inks.  I then stamped my sentiment and layered it on a panel of kraft.  Next I stamped my Sunflower and colored it in with various Copics.  Once I was finished I trimmed it out, went over the outlines with a black marker and added some sparkle with my Wink of Stella.... but it needed more hehehe!  So I added some glossy accents!  When it was shiny as could be and nice and dry I popped it up in the corner with some foam adhesive.

I am entering this into the CASology Challenge: Sprout and in the Marker Pop Challenge: Spring

Happy Trio Of Envelopes with Mint Owl Studio

Hiya!!!  It's my day up on the Mint Owl Studio blog and today I'm reminding you not to forget about your envelopes when sending out your happy mail.  Those poor little envies are often screaming " I am a blank canvas, do what you will with me! " Ok, maybe not, but they should because they are perfect for stamping, coloring and just making the receiver excited before they even open it up!  And of course I needed some help from the Outrageous Owls Stamp set...

Aren't they fun?!  I love coloring these guys/gals all kinds of fun and funky colors with my Copics to match their outrageous personalities hehehe!  Some of the sentiments also came from the Happy Mail Stamp Set.

I'm linking this happy guys up to the Marker Pop: Spring Challenge and Simon Says Stamp: Birthday Challenge
